Employee Engagement

A motivated and cohesive team will produce results greater than the sum of their parts. Strategies to improve how your personnel engage, and communicate, both with each other and with the organisation, should be a core consideration.

Carefully considered employee engagement improves both employee and organisational sustainability. It is proven to reduce staff turnover and increase productivity.

Understanding cultural differences, raising awareness of diversity within the workforce and setting professional standards of behaviour improves staff cohesion. Being creative in shaping the nature of the working environment for all employees will ensure that your organisation is in the best possible position to reduce the incidence of complaints and grievances.

Highly skilled and motivated managers are the key to effective employee engagement, consultation and feedback are its lifeblood, and clear and efficient communication processes provide the supporting framework through which organisations can ensure they are optimising both their staff and resources.

Learning and development programmes and staff-led initiatives, driven from within (as opposed to directed from above), are two ways in which organisations can get real buy-in from their teams. Listening to and acting upon concerns is also guaranteed to improve employee satisfaction. Regular opportunities to discuss and address issues within a formal framework will also pay considerable dividends.

As part of the evaluation process IMJ HR can identify areas where employee engagement is less than optimal and deliver and design a programme of improvement based around your organisational needs and resources, including leading group sessions, mediating and conflict resolution.
